Both Democrats and Republicans are very lacklustre about getting some sort of prosecution procedures going.
I don't actually believe either of them care about the people that looted americans, because they have recieved huge donations from them in the past and continue to do so. What do you think the american people should do?When will be the day of reckoning be for the creators of the financial storm?

Actually, they will never prosecute since it was the Congress that changed the laws to allow for this type of action to go on. The best thing for the American people to do is vote out of office all politicians on a regular basis.
Remember that if Congress had not changed the laws and under Clinton put in laws basically forcing the banks to do high risk loans in order to expand into securities this would never of happened.
Let us also not forget the Average American who was refinancing every few years as their house was going up in value. With out a signer for these loans the banks would not have the high foreclosure rate.
